Digital Technology Pathway

Aims

In Digital Technology, students learn about computer science, digital media and design thinking to solve an opportunity. Through a series of steps, they will investigate, explore, develop, debug and model their prototype.

Practical skills include image manipulation, web design, media, coding, data, storage, debugging, and robotics.  Students will become creators of Digital Technology, rather than users.

Competencies

This subject aims to nurture courageous students who can problem solve using logical thinking. Students will investigate and be influenced by human societal, environmental, historical and technological factors.

Pathways this course contributes towards

Business, Computer Science, Creative Industries, Engineering, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, and Media.

Other essential information

No prerequisites.

I took Digital Technology because I want to learn about the way technology works in the real world. This has led me to study Digital Technology further at Learner Me.
