Mathematics and Statistics Pathway

Aims

To provide opportunities to explore and use patterns and relationships to solve problems and develop ways of thinking about the world around us.  Students are encouraged to inquire into and investigate mathematical and data rich situations with curiosity, courage, confidence and intuition.  They will use a variety of forms to communicate and share ideas.

Pathways this course contributes towards

Further study in Calculus, Statistics. Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Psychology, Economics or Commerce

Other essential information

There is an opportunity for subject endorsement. This pathway provides an opportunity for Level One Numeracy credits.

I enjoy Calculus because it is challenging and develops problem solving skills. The Maths staff made my learning enjoyable and easy.

Future Career:

I chose Calculus because I want to study engineering and science at university.
