Football is played during Terms 2 and 3 with the college catering for both competitive and social teams.  Trials are generally held during Term 1.  Further information regarding these can be found in the Daily Notices.

There are a number of different leagues that teams participate in. This year, our 1st XI is participating in the Girls’ Only League on a Wednesday after school. In the past, they have competed in the boys’ league on a Saturday morning with our other Year 9-13 teams competing against other girls’ teams on a Wednesday after school.  Year 7 and 8 students participate on a Saturday morning. Games take place at various schools and parks around the region so the ability to travel is expected. Practice for each team is decided when the teams are finalised after the trials. The 1st X1 generally practices Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.

Our 1st X1 team is highly competitive and regularly qualifies for the National Premier Secondary School Tournament held during Winter Tournament Week.

Students are issued a playing uniform.  Most teams will get a top and shorts with the 1st X1 also receiving a tracksuit and training jacket. Uniforms are expected to be returned at the end of the season after sports photos. Students are responsible for providing their own boots and shin protection. A gear bag with team lists, balls and a first aid kit are also supplied for the season.

The cost for participating is dependent upon what team your daughter is in and what league the team is entered into. It ranges from approximately $80.00 to $300.00.
